Terms of use
Last updated: 23 October 2026 · Version for the BETA
These terms apply when you use Gainline, a fantasy rugby game run by RugbyGainline, an individual based in the UK. By creating an account you agree to them and to our Privacy policy. Contact: support@rugbygainline.com.
A free BETA
- Gainline is free and in BETA. Features, scoring rules and data may change, and things may break, be reset or be unavailable.
- No prizes are offered and no payments are taken at the moment. If that changes, we will publish separate terms first.
Not betting
Gainline is a game of skill for fun. There is no stake, no wager and nothing of money's worth to win. It is not gambling or betting, and must not be used for betting.
Not official
Gainline is independent. It is not affiliated with, endorsed or sponsored by any league, competition, union, club or player. Names are used only to describe real teams and fixtures; club crests shown are placeholders.
Your account
- You must be 18 or over and give a real email address you control.
- One account per person. Keep your password private; you're responsible for activity on your account.
- Team names, league names and anything else you enter must not be offensive, impersonate others, or infringe anyone's rights. We may rename or remove them.
Fair play
Don't cheat, use bots or scripts, try to break or overload the service, or access other people's accounts. We may suspend or delete accounts that do.
Data and scores
Fixtures, player data and scores come from third-party sources and may be late or wrong. We may correct scores and league tables after the event. Our decision on scoring is final.
Our liability
The service is provided "as is". As it is free, we are not liable for any loss arising from using it, except where the law does not allow us to limit liability (for example, for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or fraud). Nothing here affects your statutory rights.
Ending
You can delete your account at any time on your Account page. We may close the BETA or the service at any time, and will try to give notice.
Changes and law
We may update these terms; we'll change the date above and tell members about significant changes. These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction (you may also be able to bring a claim where you live in the UK).
